Deep-Fried BeanCurd Sheet

Ingredients :
1 bean curd sheet - no salt ( Kwang Cheong Thye )
20 steam buns

Batter :
1 tsp preserved red beancurd
1 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp 5-spice powder
1 tsp sesame oil
5 tbsps water
5 tbsps plain flour
1 tsp baking powder

Method :
1. Place a bean curd sheet on a board , rub with 1 layer of batter evenly on the sheet , place the second sheet over it , repeat the procedure until the last sheet cover .
( 4 pc beancurd sheet . Poke some holes on the sheet before frying )
2. Deep-fry the square layered bean curd sheets until golden brown, remove and cut into rectangular shape, serve with steamed bun and sweet sauce ( use low fire ) .
